Polyphony2021

By Verity Standen, composed with Yas Clarke

Polyphony is an immersive audio installation built from conversations with people across the UK about their own voices. Recorded in autumn 2021 in places including Middlesbrough, London, Cumbria and Bristol, the interviews were cut and woven together with laughter, breath, hesitation and music into a single composition.

Design by Ben Pacey, produced by MAYK. Commissioned by Bristol New Music, supported by Arts Council England and Coombe Farm Studios.
